Gin Blasts: Liverpool Valencian Orange

This time we have gone to Liverpool and to the city’s newest distillery. And this awesome expression, that has just been released, is pretty much bloody life changing!
We have had a massive influx of orange tainted gins over the last few years but this one definitely brough something very different to the table. Throw away your marmalade hats and over powering zesty qualities, this gin adds a beautiful after note of Valencian orange but keeps its gin routes incredibly well. With bug bursts of juniper and spice that remains full, while the orange notes that make this gin unique battle with it’s botanical friends to help make a wonderfully solid flavour.
This gin is not only wonderful within a G&T but it naturally works so bloody brilliantly in a Negroni. The orange is there but sits around, watching Master Chef, while slyly laughing at the other botanicals as they try and fight for more meaning to their life!
In the end the orange pounces through but is never a bully, it knows who’s boss and knows where it sits. But it’s the subtlety where this gin becomes king. So don’t be put off by the big orange tag, it’s wonderfully balanced and is a gin for every gin lover out there.
Cheers!
