Gin Blasts: 1897 Quinine Gin

So, I've got a brand spanking new gin for you guys this time, straight from those crazy cats over at our beloved Master of Malt. You would have never have guessed but this botanical number is packed full of quinine! Yes, that wonderful bitter ingredient that we have come to love from gins ever loving partner; the tonic water.

Now, maybe you’re thinking; but my god, is this going to make the most bitter G&T I have ever bloody tasted? Well, the clever guys over at MoM have wacked in a whole bunch of citrus, including both pink and white grapefruit, which helps to balance it out perfectly.

Not only does this gin taste incredible but 50% of the profit that comes from each sale goes towards the ‘Malaria No More UK’ charity. This is at least £5 a bottle and is enough to hang a mosquito net for a family living at risk from malaria in Africa. Amazing, huh?

The gin is clean, crisp and well balanced and I recommend you serve in a large wine glass, with plenty of ice, Indian tonic water, a grapefruit slice and some juniper berries.

I really can't get enough of this at the moment!

Cheers!

You can pick up a bottle here.
