Gin Blasts: Nordes Gin

Just opening the bottle of this wonderful Spanish gin transports me straight back to the terrace of Bar Botanico, in sun-soaked Madrid, which was where I first had the pleasure of enjoying it.

It’s floral, aromatic charm sets it well apart from any other gin I have come across. It is dubbed ‘Galician Atlantic Gin’, distilled from Albarino wine, uses wild Galician botanicals such as laurel, lemon verbena, eucalyptus and quinine and is bottled at 40%ABV. The beautiful, wide, white bottle shows a simple world map with a ‘you are here’ arrow pointing to Galice, which is where the gin is produced.

Best served in a large balloon glass, plenty of ice, a sage leaf, a slice of strawberry and a twist of lime - charged with Fever Tree Mediterranean Tonic Water. This is a must try gin for anyone looking to get a true taste of southern Spain.

Cheers!

You can pick up a bottle here.
