COTW: The Gin Old Fashioned

This week David Coveney, Head Bartender of Reunion London and also of @TheSpiritCellar, brings us his long searched for Gin Old Fashioned. And as the man say's himself: “After years of trials I have finally conquered the burning need for a Gin Old Fashioned in my life.” Get cocktailing people.

Ingredients:

60ml Tarquins Dry Gin

1 Large twist of grapefruit

1 bar spoon of soft brown sugar

2 large dashes of Master of Malt juniper bitters

Method: Aromatise inside of a rocks glass with the grapefruit peel and add the sugar and bitters. Add 10ml Tarquins Dry Gin and 1 ice cube, stir until the sugar has dissolved. Fill glass with ice and add 1/3 of the remaining gin and stir well, repeat this process untill all gin is used. Continue stirring to taste.
